Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the set-up and testing of the online navigation and data logging systems
- Responsible for the calibration of survey sensors
- Responsible for the daily operation of on-line systems
- Responsible for the quality control of positioning systems/ sensors and logged data
- Responsible for maintaining survey quality records (including daily logbook)
- Responsible for instruction and performance monitoring of junior surveyors
- Performance of work role in accordance with company and project policies & procedures
- Ensure that data gathered is in accordance within contractual and company specification
- Reporting of operational activities and logged data that does not meet acceptance criteria
- Take part in hazard identification and risk assessment as required by Party Chief/Project Manager
- Emergency situation reporting to assigned work supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience in Surveying in the offshore environment
- Bachelor’s degree level in Geomatics (or similar) or equivalent knowledge in offshore surveying
- Appropriate offshore medical and offshore survival course
Required Skills:
- Exposure or working knowledge in Offshore Survey and deep-water positioning systems with specialization in USBL, LBL array installation, calibration and positioning
- Exposure or working knowledge in jumper metrology measurements
- Exposure or working knowledge in networking and interfacing
