Tasks and Responsibilites:
- The ROV Supervisor shall supervise the operation of the assigned ROV system, and make sure all tasks defined in the work scope are performed according to internal and external requirements
- Responsible for safe and effective ROV operations and maintenance
- Ability to obtain grade level competency certificate and progress in the company’s competency program
- Ensure that internal/external Health, Safety, Environment and Quality requirements are adhered to at all times
- Participate in familiarization and debriefing sessions prior to mobilization/demobilization (if applicable)
- Familiarize and adhere to all guidance and instructions outlined in the BMS (Business Management System)
- Participate in the project responsibilities as specified in the project scope of work
- Responsible for the safety of each crew member, and any person directly involved in the ROV operation
- Act as liaison with all the vessel’s parties and onshore ROV department
- Familiarize the crew with the project’s scope of work and all applicable safety regulations and requirements
- Ensure that ROV logs, reports and the quality of service is consistent according to DOF standards
- Allocate tasks to the ROV team members in accordance with their experience/training
- Monitor the team performance and report feedback to the ROV Project Manager and others as applicable
- Participate in internal ROV system training of personnel
- Ensure that ROV system documentation is updated and maintained
- Evaluate ROV systems maintenance schedules and advise onshore support of any technical matters/needs
- Ensure that all permanent ROV modifications have been reviewed, approved, and documented
- Ensure that ROV system equipment, tooling, and any ancillary devices are in compliance with all applicable rules, regulations and safety requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree level or equivalent Subsea operations knowledge
- Able to obtain appropriate offshore medical and offshore survival course
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Work Experience:
- Achieve 180 days (6 months) offshore experience at Senior Pilot Technician grade
- Have a minimum of 36 months (3 years) of experience in ROV Operations
Required Skills (social/technical) and equipment
- Qualified and Experienced in ROV Operations
- Excellent organizational skills, capable of prioritizing jobs depending on job requirements
- Qualified in Electrical and/or Mechanical or relevant discipline
- Proficient in Microsoft Packages - Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Document Control Systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Working knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry Technical Specifications and Standards
